Week 2: Structuring your webpage (HTML)

Last update: Oct 17, 2021
Languages:

During this session, you will learn all about how to assemble together a web page using the building blocks of HTML.

Session details

This session takes place on the 17th of Oct 14:00 UTC.

  • ☎️ Video call
  • 📝 Minutes
  • 🔴 Recording: Will be made available after the session.

Installations

No installations are required for this week. We recommend you to use VS Code to try out writing some HTML. You can just open the webpages you create in any browser that you prefer.

Group project

Before next Sunday, work together with your fellow students and prepare the following:

  • Turn the markdown files of last week into HTML files.
  • Improve the guide by looking up more info about HTML and CSS.
  • Share all of this in our GitHub repository.
  • Prepare a short presentation to share your work at next week’s workshop.

We made an example HTML file in our GitHub repository to help you get started.
